About
What ever other art work you’ll see on this website will certainly
be Native American handcrafted and will be held to this standard of quality
and authenticity.

I have to thank my buddy, classmate and fellow leather crafter Rodney Mike (Above photo on the right with glasses) for encouraging me to do leather work when we were in boarding school. I did need an artistic outlet and I’m glad for the opportunity the school provided to other Native American students and me. Personally I can appreciate the practical use of leather crafted items. My step dad was in the cattle business and he had saddles, bridles, cinches etc that I was curious about who made these items. Some were handsomely crafted with tooling and different colored leathers while I also noticed the personalized saddles and rigging the rodeo cowboys got as prizes.
It does take some “learning and getting use to” tooling and working leather. I am glad I was able to get the experience I acquired while I was away for four years at boarding school. My immediate future after high school would be spent in the armed forces for one four year tour.
I chose my business name “Native American Made” because of how I was influenced by companies who were confident and proud to say their product was American Made or Made in the USA. I became more and more aware of this while I worked in the Arizona copper mine industry and I realized that I too felt this way about my artwork. So as I continue growing into other avenues of this artisan industry I maintain this same ideology.
